HNLMS Rotterdam (L800)

The HNLMS Rotterdam (L800) is a Landing Platform Dock (LPD) ship of the Royal Netherlands Navy. It is the second ship of the Rotterdam-class, the first being HNLMS Rotterdam (L800).

The Rotterdam-class LPDs are designed to provide amphibious support, humanitarian aid, and disaster relief. HNLMS Rotterdam (L800) possesses a large flight deck for helicopter operations, a well deck for landing craft, and ample space for troops, vehicles, and supplies. The ship is capable of deploying troops and equipment to shore via landing craft or helicopters.

The vessel is equipped with self-defense systems, including close-in weapon systems and electronic warfare capabilities. She also houses a fully equipped medical facility for treating both naval personnel and civilians during humanitarian missions.
