HMS Medina (1840)

HMS Medina was a Royal Navy paddle steamer launched in 1840. She was built at Woolwich Dockyard and designed by Oliver Lang. Medina served primarily as a packet ship, carrying mail and passengers between Great Britain and various ports in the Mediterranean. Her routes often included destinations such as Malta, Alexandria, and Gibraltar. In addition to her packet duties, Medina also performed occasional transport and escort roles for naval operations. She was eventually sold out of naval service in 1855.
