HMS Implacable (1899)
HMS Implacable was a Formidable-class pre-dreadnought battleship of the British Royal Navy. She was the second ship of her class, which also included Formidable, Irresistible, Queen Elizabeth, Prince of Wales, Albemarle, and Bulwark.
Implacable was laid down at Devonport Dockyard in February 1899, launched in March 1900, and commissioned in September 1901. She was armed with four 12-inch (305 mm) guns in two twin turrets, twelve 6-inch (152 mm) guns, and numerous smaller weapons.
Throughout her career, Implacable served in the Mediterranean Fleet, the Channel Fleet, and the Atlantic Fleet. During World War I, she saw service in the Dardanelles Campaign, participating in the naval attacks against the Ottoman fortifications in 1915. She later operated in the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas.
After the war, Implacable was used as a training ship. She was sold for scrap in 1921.
