HMS Deal Castle (1756)
HMS Deal Castle was a 24-gun sixth-rate frigate of the Royal Navy, launched in 1756. She was built to the 1745 Establishment dimensions at Deptford Dockyard. Her design was typical of small frigates employed in patrolling and escort duties during the mid-18th century. Deal Castle saw service during the Seven Years' War, primarily in European waters. She was involved in several minor actions and performed convoy escort duties. Details of her specific engagements and command assignments are somewhat sparse, but she appears to have operated consistently within the established roles for her class. She was eventually sold out of the service in 1773.
