HD 20781
HD 20781 is a G-type main-sequence star located approximately 117 light-years away in the constellation Fornax. It is slightly smaller and less massive than the Sun, with a surface temperature similar to our star.
HD 20781 is notable for hosting a multi-planetary system. As of the current data, two exoplanets have been confirmed orbiting the star via the radial velocity method. These planets are designated HD 20781 b and HD 20781 c.
HD 20781 b has a minimum mass of about 12 Jupiter masses and orbits the star with a period of roughly 85 days. HD 20781 c has a minimum mass of about 16 Jupiter masses and a longer orbital period of approximately 283 days. The relative proximity and characterized orbits of these planets have made the HD 20781 system a target for studies on planetary system architecture and dynamics. Further observations may reveal the presence of additional planets in the system.
