Hægeland

Hægeland is a municipality located in the Agder county of Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Sørlandet. The administrative center of Hægeland is the village of Kyrkjebygda.

The municipality is situated inland, characterized by rolling hills, forests, and lakes. Agriculture and forestry have historically been important industries in Hægeland.

Hægeland was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). It borders the municipalities of Vennesla, Iveland, Evje og Hornnes, and Lindesnes.
