Gielde

Gielde is a village in the municipality of Gieboldehausen, in the district of Göttingen, Lower Saxony, Germany. It lies approximately 15 km northwest of Duderstadt. Historically, Gielde has been primarily an agricultural village. It is now largely residential with residents commuting to larger towns for work. The village features a church and local community facilities. Its history is intertwined with that of the larger municipality of Gieboldehausen.
