George Hancock (footballer)

George Hancock (born circa 1889, date of death unknown) was an English professional footballer who played as a forward.

Hancock began his career with Midland League side Mansfield Town before joining Football League First Division team Nottingham Forest in 1910. He made a handful of appearances for Forest before moving to Southern League outfit Coventry City in 1911. His time at Coventry was similarly brief, and he subsequently signed for non-league club Ilkeston United. Information regarding his career after Ilkeston United is limited, and his date of death is unknown. His playing style was noted for pace and directness in attack.
