George Coventry (minister)

George Coventry (died 1697) was an English clergyman. He was the son of Thomas Coventry, Lord Coventry. He matriculated at Magdalen Hall, Oxford, on 18 November 1642, aged 15. He was appointed Rector of Bredon, Worcestershire in 1660, a position he held until his death. He also served as a Canon of Windsor. He married and had several children. Details of his life are primarily found in historical records relating to the clergy and genealogical accounts of the Coventry family. His sermons and writings, if any existed beyond his duties as a clergyman, are not widely documented.
