Gary Stevens (Australian rules footballer)
Gary Stevens was an Australian rules footballer who played for Fitzroy in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the 1970s.
Stevens, a rover, was recruited to Fitzroy from Reservoir-Lakeside. He made his senior VFL debut in 1972 and quickly established himself in the team. He was known for his pace, agility, and ability to win the ball at ground level.
Stevens played 112 games for Fitzroy over eight seasons, kicking 72 goals. He was a consistent performer for the Lions, often featuring among their best players. He was a member of Fitzroy's side that reached the preliminary final in 1979, losing to Collingwood.
He retired from VFL football at the end of the 1979 season.
