Fred Gabourie

Fred Gabourie (born July 19, 1934, died June 2, 2022) was a Canadian politician and businessman. He served as the Mayor of Elliot Lake, Ontario, for multiple terms. Gabourie was a prominent figure in the development and promotion of Elliot Lake, particularly during its transition from a uranium mining town to a retirement community. He played a significant role in attracting new businesses and residents to the area.
