Frank Summers (Australian footballer)
Frank Summers (born 22 January 1988) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL).
Summers played junior football for the Salisbury North Football Club and Central District Football Club. He was drafted by the Brisbane Lions with pick 55 in the 2005 AFL National Draft. He is known for his strong marking ability and physical presence.
Summers made his AFL debut in Round 1, 2007, against Hawthorn. He played intermittently over the following seasons, struggling to maintain a consistent place in the senior side due to injuries and form. He was delisted by the Brisbane Lions at the end of the 2012 season.
After his AFL career, Summers returned to South Australia and played for Central District in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). He has also been involved in coaching at a local level.
