Frances White (actress)
Frances White (born 1938) is a British actress best known for her role as Kate in the 1960s BBC sitcom George and Mildred.
White began her career in the theatre and made appearances in various television productions before landing her breakthrough role in George and Mildred, a spin-off from the popular sitcom Man About the House. The series followed the lives of George and Mildred Roper, a married couple who move to a more affluent neighbourhood. White portrayed their sophisticated and somewhat condescending neighbour, Ann Fourmile.
Following the success of George and Mildred, White continued to work in television, appearing in shows such as Hi-de-Hi!, Minder, The Goodies, and Doctors. She also maintained a presence on stage, performing in a variety of plays.
White has also lent her voice to numerous radio dramas and voice-over projects. She remains a recognized figure in British television and theatre.
