Frafjord

Frafjord is a small village and fjord located in Rogaland county, Norway. It is situated in the municipality of Sandnes, near the border with Gjesdal municipality.

The fjord itself, also named Frafjord, is a branch of the larger Høgsfjorden. It is characterized by its steep mountainsides and relatively narrow width. The village of Frafjord lies at the head of the fjord.

Historically, Frafjord was a primarily agricultural community, with farming and fishing being the main sources of livelihood. Today, while agriculture remains present, the area is also seeing growth in tourism and recreational activities, such as hiking and fishing. The natural beauty of the fjord and surrounding mountains makes it an attractive destination for visitors.
