Fåberg (village)
Fåberg is a village located in Lillehammer municipality, Innlandet county, Norway. It lies approximately 8 kilometers north of the city of Lillehammer, situated in the Gudbrandsdalen valley.
Fåberg was formerly an independent municipality, established in 1838 as Fåberg formannskapsdistrikt. Over time, portions of its territory were transferred to adjacent municipalities. In 1964, Fåberg municipality was merged with Lillehammer, Gausdal, and Øyer to form the larger Lillehammer municipality.
Historically, agriculture has been a key component of the local economy, and the area boasts a rich cultural heritage. The river Lågen flows through the valley near Fåberg.
