Masjkur
Masjkur was an Indonesian politician and Islamic scholar. He served as Minister of Religious Affairs in the first Indonesian cabinet following the country's independence in 1945. He held the same position again later in his career. A prominent figure within Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), one of Indonesia's largest Islamic organizations, Masjkur played a significant role in the early development of religious policy and education in Indonesia. He was also involved in the struggle for Indonesian independence.
