Expo '70, officially the Japan World Exposition, was a World's Fair held in Suita, Osaka Prefecture, Japan, from March 15 to September 13, 1970. The theme of the Expo was "Progress and Harmony for Mankind." It was the first World's Fair to be held in Japan and one of the largest and most successful in history, attracting over 64 million visitors.

The exposition showcased technological advancements and cultural achievements from 77 countries and various international organizations. Prominent exhibits included the Moon Rock display, brought to Japan following the Apollo 12 mission, and the Symbol Zone, featuring the Tower of the Sun designed by artist Tarō Okamoto. The fairgrounds also included entertainment venues, restaurants, and a monorail system for transportation.

Expo '70 is remembered for its futuristic architecture, optimistic atmosphere, and its role in showcasing Japan's economic and technological prowess to the world. It had a significant impact on Japanese culture and urban development, and its legacy can still be seen in the Expo Commemoration Park built on the former fairgrounds.
