Edward T. Lewis (politician)

Edward T. Lewis (born circa 1935, died October 20, 2020) was an American politician who served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 148th district from 1983 to 2006. A Republican, Lewis represented parts of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

Before entering the state legislature, Lewis served as a Towamencin Township supervisor for 18 years. During his time in the House, he focused on issues related to local government, environmental protection, and economic development. He served on several committees, including the Appropriations Committee and the Environmental Resources and Energy Committee. Lewis was known for his constituent service and his ability to work across party lines. He was regarded as a moderate Republican during his time in office.

Following his retirement from the Pennsylvania House in 2006, Lewis remained active in local community affairs.
