Delicate Sound of Thunder (film)

Delicate Sound of Thunder is a 1989 concert film featuring the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd. It was filmed during their A Momentary Lapse of Reason tour at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, in August 1988. The film captures the band performing a selection of songs from their extensive catalog, including tracks from A Momentary Lapse of Reason, The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall.

The film was initially released on VHS, Laserdisc, and Betamax. A remixed and remastered version of the audio, along with enhanced visuals, was released in 2019 as part of The Later Years box set. This updated version was also subsequently released as a standalone Blu-ray and DVD.

Delicate Sound of Thunder showcases the elaborate stage production and visual effects that were a hallmark of Pink Floyd's live performances, including lasers, inflatable props, and projected imagery. It offers a visual document of the band's post-Roger Waters era and features David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright as the core members. The film is considered a significant record of Pink Floyd's touring activity during the late 1980s.
