Del Moore
Del Moore (1916 – 1970) was an American comedy actor, writer, and voice artist, best known for his work with the comedy team of Rowan & Martin, particularly on their groundbreaking television show, Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In.
Born in Pensacola, Florida, Moore began his career in radio before transitioning to television and film. He often played characters with a mild-mannered or slightly bewildered demeanor, which contrasted effectively with the more assertive comedic styles of his contemporaries.
Moore's association with Laugh-In from 1968 to 1970 brought him widespread recognition. On the show, he participated in sketches and recurring segments, contributing to the program's fast-paced and often absurdist humor. His contributions helped establish Laugh-In as a significant cultural phenomenon of the late 1960s.
Beyond Laugh-In, Moore appeared in a variety of films and television shows, including The Wild Wild West and The Dick Van Dyke Show. He also provided voice work for animated projects. Del Moore died in 1970 at the age of 53.
