David Marshall (Australian footballer)
David Marshall is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).
Marshall was drafted by Adelaide with pick 58 in the 2005 AFL Draft from the Glenelg Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). He was a defender known for his intercept marking ability.
He made his AFL debut in 2006 and played intermittently for the club over several seasons. Marshall often struggled to maintain a consistent place in Adelaide's senior side due to injuries and competition for spots in the backline.
After being delisted by Adelaide at the end of the 2010 season, Marshall returned to Glenelg, where he continued his SANFL career. He became a key player and leader for Glenelg following his AFL stint.
