David Johnson (Australian rules footballer)
David Johnson (born 20 July 1981) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club and Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).
Johnson was drafted by Carlton with pick number 10 in the 1999 AFL Draft. A tall and athletic defender, he quickly established himself in the Carlton backline. He played 100 games for Carlton between 2000 and 2006, becoming known for his strong marking and intercept play.
