Daniel Foster (Australian footballer)
Daniel Foster (born 28 February 1989) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL).
Foster was recruited by the Lions with pick #11 in the 2007 AFL National Draft from North Ballarat Rebels. A medium defender, he was known for his tackling and ability to read the play.
He made his AFL debut in Round 1, 2008, against the Fremantle Dockers. He played 32 games for the Brisbane Lions over four seasons, struggling to maintain a consistent place in the senior side.
Foster was delisted by the Brisbane Lions at the end of the 2011 season. Following his delisting, he returned to play football in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
