Dan O'Brien (footballer)
Dan O'Brien is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL).
O'Brien was drafted by Sydney with pick 54 in the 2005 AFL Draft. He made his AFL debut in 2006 and played primarily as a defender. He was known for his strong marking and reliable disposal.
Throughout his career at Sydney, O'Brien faced injury setbacks that hampered his ability to consistently hold a place in the senior team. He played a total of 17 AFL games before being delisted at the end of the 2008 season. Following his delisting, he continued to play football at a local level.
