Dan Leo
Dan Leo (born Daniel Leo on 16 August 1980 in Wellington, New Zealand) is a Samoan rugby union player. He primarily plays as a lock or flanker.
Leo represented Samoa in international rugby, playing in multiple Rugby World Cups. He also played professionally for a number of clubs, including London Wasps, Newcastle Falcons, and Perpignan. Throughout his career, he was known for his physicality and work rate.
Post-retirement, Leo became a prominent advocate for Pacific Islander rugby players, addressing issues related to player welfare, governance, and representation within the sport. He has been a vocal critic of the inequalities faced by Pacific Island nations within international rugby and has actively campaigned for improvements in their treatment and opportunities.
