Damizza

Damizza (born Damon Blackmon) is an American music producer, DJ, and executive. He is best known for his work in the hip-hop and R&B genres, particularly his contributions to the West Coast music scene.

Damizza gained prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s, working with artists such as Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Mariah Carey, and Warren G. He is often credited with helping to bridge the gap between hip-hop and R&B, and for his role in popularizing the "West Coast" sound during that period.

A notable aspect of Damizza's career is his involvement with Mariah Carey. He played a key role in introducing Carey to a wider hip-hop audience and collaborated with her on remixes and original tracks. Their collaborations, including the remix of "I Still Believe," helped showcase Carey's versatility and broadened her appeal.

Beyond production, Damizza has also held executive positions in the music industry, further solidifying his influence. He is the founder of Baby Ree Productions.
