Cyphers (magazine)
Cyphers was a literary magazine published in Ireland between 1975 and 2003. Founded by Pearse Hutchinson, Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin, Macdara Woods, and Leland Bardwell, it aimed to provide a platform for both established and emerging Irish poets and writers, as well as translations of international literature. The magazine was noted for its commitment to publishing diverse voices and styles, and played a significant role in the development of Irish literature during its period of publication. It featured poetry, short fiction, and reviews, and was known for its high editorial standards. While Cyphers ceased publication in 2003, its legacy remains significant as an important outlet for literary expression in Ireland.
