Corpus Christi College Boat Club (Cambridge)
The Corpus Christi College Boat Club (also known as CCCBC) is the rowing club of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, England. It is one of the oldest boat clubs in Cambridge, with records dating back to the early 19th century. The club is responsible for fielding crews in the annual Lent and May Bumps races, as well as other intercollegiate and external rowing events.
The CCCBC maintains a fleet of boats and equipment used for training and racing. Like other Cambridge college boat clubs, it operates out of boathouses located along the River Cam. The club is run by a committee of students, often with the support of alumni and college staff.
Historically, the club has experienced varied levels of success in the Bumps races. The ultimate goal for any crew is to "win blades" by bumping (overtaking) another boat on each day of the races. The Boat Club plays a significant role in the social life of the college, providing opportunities for students of all rowing abilities to participate. It welcomes members regardless of prior experience.
