Christian Rivera (Spanish footballer)

Christian Rivera Hernández (born 9 July 1997) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Liga MX club Tijuana.

Career

Rivera began his career with Real Oviedo, progressing through their youth ranks. He made his senior debut for the club's B team, Real Oviedo Vetusta, before making his first-team debut in the Segunda División.

In 2016, he joined SD Eibar of La Liga. Initially assigned to the reserves, he soon earned a place in the first team, making his debut in the Spanish top flight.

Over the subsequent years, Rivera played for various Spanish clubs including FC Barcelona B, Las Palmas, and Girona FC. His time at each club varied in terms of playing time and impact.

In 2022, Rivera moved abroad, signing with Sporting Cristal in Peru's Liga 1.
