Cascade Falls (Jackson, Michigan)

Cascade Falls is a man-made waterfall and illuminated fountain located in Sparks Foundation County Park in Jackson, Michigan. Constructed in 1932 as a project spearheaded by William and Matilda Sparks, the falls quickly became a popular tourist destination and a symbol of the city.

The falls consist of five separate tiers, each with different features and water displays. Water is pumped to the top and cascades down the tiers, creating a visually stunning effect. In the evenings, the falls are illuminated with colored lights, enhancing their beauty and making them a popular nighttime attraction.

Beyond the falls themselves, Sparks Foundation County Park offers additional recreational opportunities, including walking paths, picnic areas, and scenic overlooks. The park and falls are often used for community events, concerts, and celebrations. Cascade Falls remains a significant landmark and a source of pride for the city of Jackson.
