Busta Voe
Busta Voe is a small, sheltered voe (inlet or creek) located on the east coast of the island of Mainland, Shetland, Scotland. It lies to the south of the settlement of Brae, within the civil parish of Delting. Busta Voe is notable for its historical significance as a safe anchorage and is often linked to the nearby Busta House hotel, a historically important building which overlooks the voe. The voe provided sheltered harbourage for vessels over the centuries, playing a role in trade and transport in the region. Its name, like many locations in Shetland, has Norse origins, reflecting the islands' historical ties to Scandinavia. Today, Busta Voe is primarily a scenic area and a location of historical interest, rather than a major industrial or commercial harbour.
