Bunkpurugu (Ghana parliament constituency)

Bunkpurugu is a constituency in the Northern Region of Ghana. It is represented in the Parliament of Ghana by the Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency. The current MP for Bunkpurugu is Abed Bandim, elected on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The Bunkpurugu constituency is located within the North East Region of Ghana following the region's creation in 2019. Prior to the creation of the North East Region, it was part of the Northern Region. It is considered a rural constituency and is primarily agricultural. The main ethnic group in the constituency is the Bimoba.

Elections are held every four years to elect the Member of Parliament for Bunkpurugu. The MP represents the constituency in the Ghanaian legislature and is responsible for advocating for the needs of the constituents. The constituency has experienced shifts in political representation over the years between the NPP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
