Josh Wink

Josh Wink (born Joshua Winkelman on April 20, 1970, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American electronic music DJ, producer, remixer, and record label owner. He is a significant figure in the acid house, techno, and trance scenes, particularly during the 1990s.

Wink gained international recognition for his singles "Higher State of Consciousness" (1995), "Don't Laugh" (1998), and "I'm Ready" (1996), which became staples in dance clubs and on radio stations worldwide. These tracks are characterized by their hypnotic rhythms, innovative sound design, and distinctive acid house influences.

He founded Ovum Recordings in 1994 with King Britt, a label known for showcasing a wide range of electronic music, including techno, house, and experimental sounds. Ovum Recordings has been instrumental in launching the careers of many other electronic music artists.
