Brook (One Piece)

Brook is a fictional character in the manga and anime series One Piece, created by Eiichiro Oda. He is the musician and swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates.

Character Overview

Brook is a long-limbed skeleton brought back to life by the powers of the Revive-Revive Fruit (Yomi Yomi no Mi). Before his death, he was a member of the Rumbar Pirates. He possesses a distinct afro, a cane sword, and a perpetually jovial personality, often making morbid jokes related to his skeletal state, followed by his signature laugh, "Yohohoho!"

Abilities and Powers

• Swordsmanship: Brook is a skilled swordsman, utilizing a style he calls "Soul Solid." His blade, the Shikomizue, is concealed within his cane.

• Revive-Revive Fruit (Yomi Yomi no Mi): This Paramecia-type Devil Fruit granted Brook a second life. While his soul lingered in the world after his death, it took him a year to find his body. The fruit's power has also evolved, allowing him to project his soul outside of his body and imbue his sword with the power of the underworld.

Brook joins the Straw Hat Pirates after Luffy invites him. He plays a crucial role in the crew's adventures, particularly on Thriller Bark and during the Whole Cake Island arc. His knowledge of the sea and his Devil Fruit powers often prove invaluable. He is also driven by the desire to fulfill a promise made to his former crewmates: to deliver their song to Laboon, a giant whale.
