Brian Cox (actor)

Brian Cox (born June 1, 1946) is a Scottish actor. He has worked extensively with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National Theatre, where he gained recognition for his stage performances. Cox is also a prolific film and television actor.

Early Life and Career:

Born in Dundee, Scotland, Brian Cox was raised in a working-class family. He trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Early roles included stage work and small television appearances.

He is also known for his television roles, including portraying Hermann Göring in Nuremberg (2000), and more recently, his critically acclaimed role as Logan Roy in the HBO series Succession (2018-2023), for which he has received numerous awards and nominations, including a Golden Globe Award.
