Bonnie Brown (politician)

Bonnie Brown is a former politician in the Canadian province of Manitoba. She served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the riding of Brandon East from 1999 to 2011.

Brown was first elected to the Manitoba legislature in the 1999 provincial election, representing the New Democratic Party (NDP). She was re-elected in the 2003 and 2007 provincial elections.

During her time in office, Brown held various cabinet portfolios, including Minister of Education, Citizenship and Youth (2003-2006), Minister charged with the Status of Women (2006-2009), and Minister of Healthy Living, Youth and Seniors (2009-2011).

Brown did not seek re-election in the 2011 provincial election.
