Bob Peterson (filmmaker)
Bob Peterson (born January 18, 1961) is an American animator, director, screenwriter, storyboard artist, and voice actor known for his work at Pixar Animation Studios.
Peterson joined Pixar in 1994 as an animator for Toy Story. He went on to work as a story artist on A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, and Monsters, Inc., where he also served as a co-writer and voice actor (voicing Roz).
He co-directed Up (2009) alongside Pete Docter, for which he won an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay. He also wrote the story and voiced the character Dug in Up, a role he reprised in the short Dug's Special Mission and the Disney+ series Dug Days.
Peterson made his solo directorial debut with the Pixar short Partly Cloudy (2009), which premiered alongside Up in theaters. He was originally slated to direct The Good Dinosaur, but was removed from the project in 2013. He still received screenplay credit for his work on the film.
Other voice acting credits include Mr. Ray in Finding Nemo and Finding Dory. He has also contributed to the stories and screenplays of films such as Cars and Brave.
