Block Out (band)
Block Out was a Serbian alternative rock band formed in Belgrade in 1990. Known for its dark, atmospheric sound, poetic and often bleak lyrics, and the distinctive baritone vocals of frontman Nikola Vranjković, Block Out gained a dedicated following in the Serbian and ex-Yugoslavian rock scene.
The band released several critically acclaimed albums, including "Crno, Belo i Srebrno" (1994), "Godina Sirotinjske Zabave" (1996), "Efekt" (2004), and "Ako Imaš S Kim i Gde" (2007). Their music often explored themes of social alienation, existential angst, and political commentary, delivered with a raw and emotional intensity.
Block Out disbanded in 2013. Nikola Vranjković continued his musical career as a solo artist. Despite their relatively short lifespan, Block Out is considered one of the most influential alternative rock bands in Serbian music history. Their unique sound and uncompromising artistic vision left a lasting impact on subsequent generations of musicians.
