Black Oak Arkansas (album)

Black Oak Arkansas is the eponymous debut album by the American Southern rock band Black Oak Arkansas. It was released in 1971 on ATCO Records. The album features the original lineup of the band, including vocalist James "Jim Dandy" Mangrum, guitarists Rickie Lee Reynolds, Stanley Knight, and Harvey Jett, bassist Pat Daugherty, and drummer Wayne Evans.

The album's sound is characterized by a raw, energetic blend of hard rock, blues, and country influences. It showcases the band's early Southern rock style, pre-dating their more commercially successful albums like High on the Hog.
