Billy Burns (rugby union)

Billy Burns (born 13 June 1994) is an English-born Irish rugby union player who plays fly-half for Ulster Rugby in the United Rugby Championship and has represented Ireland internationally.

Born in Bath, England, Burns qualified to play for Ireland through his paternal grandfather, who hailed from Dublin. He is the younger brother of England international rugby player Freddie Burns.

Burns began his professional career with Gloucester Rugby, where he spent six seasons. He made over 100 appearances for the club before moving to Ulster Rugby in 2018.

He made his debut for Ireland against Wales in the Autumn Nations Cup in November 2020. He has also represented Ireland at 'A' level (Ireland Wolfhounds).

Burns is known for his tactical kicking, distribution skills, and goal-kicking abilities.
