Bham Dam

Bham Dam is a large earthen dam located in the Nashik district of Maharashtra, India. It is situated on the Bham River, a tributary of the Godavari River. The primary purpose of the dam is irrigation, providing a reliable water supply for agriculture in the surrounding region. In addition to irrigation, the dam also contributes to flood control during the monsoon season. The reservoir created by the dam, known as Bham Lake, also provides a source of drinking water and supports local fisheries. The dam and its surrounding area are considered to be a scenic location, attracting some tourism. Construction of the dam was completed in the late 20th century.
