Sulfolane

Sulfolane is an organosulfur compound, specifically a cyclic sulfone, with the chemical formula C₄H₈SO₂. It is a colorless, polar, aprotic solvent widely used in the chemical industry, particularly for the extraction and purification of aromatic hydrocarbons from hydrocarbon mixtures.
