Beverly (band)

Beverly was an American indie rock band formed in Brooklyn, New York City, in 2013. The band consisted primarily of Drew Citron (vocals, guitar, songwriting) and Frankie Rose (vocals, guitar, drums, songwriting).

Beverly's sound was characterized by its blend of melodic, often shimmering, guitar riffs, driving rhythms, and harmonized vocals, drawing comparisons to bands like the Breeders, Pavement, and early Sonic Youth. Their music often explored themes of urban life, relationships, and personal introspection.

The band released two studio albums: Careers in 2014 on Kanine Records, and The Blue Swell in 2016 on Pod/Inertia. Both albums received generally positive reviews from critics. They toured extensively in support of their albums, both as headliners and as support for other bands.

Beverly disbanded in 2017. While no official reason was given, both Citron and Rose have pursued other musical projects since. Citron has continued to release music under her own name, while Rose has continued to record and perform as a solo artist and with other projects.
