Belidzhi
Belidzhi (also transliterated as Beliji, Beleji, etc.) is a village and municipality in the Derbentsky District of Dagestan, Russia. It is located south of the city of Derbent, near the border with Azerbaijan.
The population of Belidzhi is predominantly Azerbaijani. The primary language spoken is Azerbaijani.
Historically, the area has been part of various empires and khanates, reflecting its location on a strategic route between the North Caucasus and Persia. Agriculture, including viticulture, and animal husbandry are important economic activities in the area.
