Beketovka

Beketovka is a locality in Russia. It most commonly refers to a former urban-type settlement, now a part of the Traktorozavodsky District of Volgograd.

Originally a separate settlement, Beketovka was incorporated into the city of Volgograd (then Stalingrad) in 1931. It is located on the right bank of the Volga River, south of the city center. Historically, Beketovka was known for its industrial enterprises and its role as a transportation hub due to its proximity to the river. During the Battle of Stalingrad, the area around Beketovka saw intense fighting.

Today, the area retains its industrial character and is primarily residential, with a mix of older and newer housing. The name Beketovka may also refer to the wider area encompassing the former settlement and its surrounding neighborhoods within the Traktorozavodsky District.
