Basciano
Basciano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Teramo in the Italian region Abruzzo, located about 45 kilometers northeast of L'Aquila and about 15 kilometers southwest of Teramo.
Basciano is a hill town situated in the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park. It is known for its agricultural production, including olives and grapes.
Historically, the area has been inhabited since Roman times. The medieval castle, now largely ruined, played a role in local conflicts. The economy is primarily based on agriculture and small businesses.
