Baláže

Baláže is a village and municipality in Banská Bystrica District in the Banská Bystrica Region of central Slovakia. It is located in the Staré Hory Mountains, a part of the Greater Fatra range. The village is known for its scenic beauty and opportunities for hiking and outdoor recreation. Historically, the area was involved in copper mining.
