Badla (2019 film)

Badla is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language mystery thriller film directed by Sujoy Ghosh and starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. It is a remake of the 2016 Spanish film Contratiempo (also known as The Invisible Guest).

The film follows Naina Sethi (played by Taapsee Pannu), a successful businesswoman accused of murdering her secret lover. To prove her innocence, she hires a renowned defense lawyer, Badal Gupta (played by Amitabh Bachchan), who is known for never losing a case. Over the course of one evening, Badal meticulously interrogates Naina, uncovering inconsistencies in her story and forcing her to confront the hidden truths surrounding the murder.
