Austin Davis is a left-handed relief pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB). He has played for several teams, including the Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox, Colorado Rockies, Minnesota Twins, and Milwaukee Brewers.
Davis was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 12th round of the 2011 MLB draft. He made his major league debut with the Phillies in 2015. Primarily a fastball-slider pitcher, Davis typically is used in middle relief situations. Throughout his career, he has been known for his ability to generate strikeouts.
His career statistics, including earned run average (ERA), WHIP (walks plus hits per inning pitched), and strikeout rate, can be found on various baseball statistics websites such as Baseball-Reference.com and MLB.com. As is typical of relief pitchers, his role is primarily focused on pitching in specific situations rather than being a mainstay in a starting rotation.
