Alison Moore (writer)

Alison Moore is a British novelist and short story writer. She is best known for her debut novel, The Lighthouse, which was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize in 2012 and the National Book Awards (UK) New Writer of the Year award.

Moore was born in Leicester and lives in Nottingham. Before becoming a full-time writer, she worked as a part-time telephonist.
